The MINOS-EURONET project is organizing the MINOS Roadshow in Europe, in May 2008, in order to establish contacts between Eastern organizations (from new member states) and outstanding micro- and nanotechnology centres in Western Europe.

Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of EE & IT and BIC Bratislava in co-operation with the FFG Vienna in the frame of the “Enterprise Europe Network” initiative and the “MINOS-EURONET” and “REACT” projects organise: minaSYS interCOOP 2008, an International co-operation event in the field of micro-, nano-, opto-electronics & technology, embedded systems, smart systems and RFID

It consists of two partially independent sessions:

Plenary session and moderated panel discussion: The aim is to summarize information on various initiatives to strengthen R&D international co-operation and technology transfer in the area and discuss inevitable steps to increase involvement of national entities.

Trans-national brokerage event – Face2Face Meetings: The participants will be provided with an opportunity to meet their potential partners for the research and technology development and/or technology transfer projects and to set up new partnerships for future co-operation.Participation is free of charge but the registration is mandatory.

Matching Partners in FP7 calls 2008 on unified databases

The new forms for the MINOS selection of topics COOPERATION THEME 4 NANOSCIENCES, NANOTECHNOLOGIES, MATERIALS AND NEW PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES – NMP and COOPERATION THEME 2 FOOD, AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES, AND BIOTECHNOLOGY are on the unified databases.

New! We have improved the database system with some new features in order to facilitate the access to the information and the management of yours profiles. Therefore we have merged four databases into a single one. The four databases are: specialists, research centers, projects and networks.

The new features are:

– a Research Center profile can be linked to Projects and / or Networks

– a Specialist profile can be linked to a Research Center

– for a Project or a Network profile are listed all the linked Research Centers profiles

– for a Research Center are listed all linked Specialist profiles

– the system is based on a single logon, where the user can manage all the profiles that belongs to his/her account

Dissemination

The web-based magazine, launched in March 2006, on the www.minos-euro.net/wbm webpage will be used to disseminate the most interesting information about competencies in NMS and ACC (people, organisations, achievements). The information from Eastern Europe will be focussed on:

– National programmes and initiatives
– National infrastructures (e.g. networks, science parks)
– Successful European cooperation (typically – participation in European projects)
– Outstanding scientific results
– National Centres of Excellence
– Profiles (CV and photo of remarkable scientists, managers, project coordinators etc.

The main entries of this web-based magazine will be tightly correlated with the information in the electronic databases, therefore maximising the possible interaction with future partners. Contributions should be sent to [email protected]

“Matching partners in FP7 calls“ databases aims is to list research groups with research interest in ICT, NMP and some areas from Health related to NMP and ICT from the New Member States, Candidate and Acceding Countries and also form the Western European Countries. There are three separate databases each one created for an single FP7 theme as follow: Health database, ICT database and NMP database.

It is designed to:

– Help research groups and researchers to promote their competencies and initiate cooperation with other organisations in field of micro nano bio technologies.

– Identify research groups with specific competencies according to topics from calls published in ICT, NMP and Health for 2007.

– Prepare face-to-face brokerage events.

“Matching partners in FP7 calls“ databases covers a wide scope. It includes research correspond to “micro” and/or “nano” and/or “biotechnologies” in the Health/ICT/NMP priorities (themes) of the FP7-2007 calls. The “materials” topics in NMP are, however, also included. For a preliminary documentation use the following links:

When entering the Add form, thick the topic(s) of interest and you will also find (click on the help link) their complete description, so your offer (competences/resources) and your request (expression of interest) can be easily trimmed to a specific topic of a certain call. The information should be very brief (concentrated) and keywords (relevant words of the call) should be used.
